This episode is about the moments in life that don’t just challenge you — they actually hurt you. The kind of experiences that stay with you long after everything has gone quiet. A relationship changes. Someone lets you down. Something you trusted falls apart. Or life shifts in a way you weren’t ready for, and suddenly things don’t feel as steady as they used to.

In this episode, I talk honestly about what it’s like trying to cope when something matters deeply and you can’t just “move on” from it overnight. We look at the kind of grief people don’t always recognise properly — not just loss through death, but the grief that comes with change, disappointment, broken trust, endings, and letting go of versions of life you thought you were heading towards.

I also break down why so much of the usual advice can feel useless when you’re genuinely hurting, and why “holding it together” isn’t always the same thing as actually dealing with what’s happened. This episode is about learning how to sit with difficult feelings without letting them completely take over, and understanding that struggling after something painful doesn’t mean you’re weak or failing to cope — it means something mattered to you.

If you’ve been carrying something quietly, trying to keep functioning whilst part of you still feels unsettled underneath it all, this episode will probably feel very familiar.
